Actors Ryan Bingham and Hassie Harrison became Instagram official in April 2023
Yellowstone costars Ryan Bingham and Hassie Harrison have taken their romance off-screen and into real life.
The actors, who portray love interests Walker and Laramie on the Paramount Network drama series, appear to have fallen in love just as quickly as their characters on-screen. Ever since announcing their relationship in the spring of 2023, Bingham and Harrison have been showing off their affection for each other on social media.
Taking things one step further, Bingham and Harrison purchased a home together in June 2023 for just under $5 million — a four-bedroom, four-bath 4,300-square-foot ranch in Topanga Canyon, right outside of Los Angeles.
Months later, they landed in the headlines again after various photos emerged on social media of the pair wearing rings on their wedding fingers, prompting many to wonder if the two had married.
From their first encounter on set to their heartfelt social media tributes, here’s everything to know about Ryan Bingham and Hassie Harrison’s relationship.
They met filming Yellowstone
Though the two have not explicitly shared their relationship timeline, Entertainment Tonight reported that Bingham and Harrison first crossed paths while working together on the third season of Yellowstone, which was shot in the summer and fall of 2019.
While Bingham has played Walker, an ex-con-turned-ranch-hand, since the first season and later became a series regular, Harrison joined the Yellowstone cast in season 3 as a troublemaking barrel racer named Laramie.
In the series, Laramie becomes romantically involved with Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith) and later falls for Walker, which leads to mounting jealousy and tension in the bunkhouse between the two ranch hands.
The standoff between Lloyd and Walker reaches a fever pitch when the senior ranch hand breaks Walker’s guitar and stabs him in the chest. In the end, the two handle their dispute cowboy style in an all-out brawl that seems to settle the score once and for all.
Harrison later poked fun at the on-camera confrontation with a cheeky Instagram photo — featuring herself, Smith and Bingham all smiling on the set of Yellowstone — captioning the post, “Three goofballs taking a break from pretending to be all dramatic and s— 😜.”
Bingham and Harrison’s résumés are impressive
Although Yellowstone is their first and only joint project so far, each has enjoyed their own on-screen careers outside of the Taylor Sheridan-led series.
Bingham, a native of Hobbs, New Mexico, has starred in several films, including Crazy Heart (2009), Jackie & Ryan (2014), A Country Called Home (2015) and Hostiles (2017). He’s also found success as a composer in the industry, earning a Golden Globe, Grammy and Academy Award for his and musician T Bone Burnett’s Crazy Heart theme song, “The Weary Kind.”
Apart from Yellowstone, Harrison is well known for her work in the recently-canceled TV series Tacoma FD and in the 2018 film The Iron Orchard. Viewers might also recognize the Dallas native from Dementia (2015), Southbound (2015), Fat Camp (2017), Back to Lyla (2022) or Quasi (2023).
Despite their individual acting credits, both Bingham and Harrison earned a 2022 Screen Actors Guild Award in the outstanding performance by an ensemble cast in a drama series category for their work in Yellowstone.
They announced their romance in 2023
It wasn’t until roughly four years after beginning to work together that Bingham and Harrison announced their romance had moved off-screen.
On Apr. 12, 2023, the singer-songwriter posted an Instagram picture of the pair in matching camo jackets sharing a kiss in front of a large bonfire, tagging the Tacoma FD star and captioning the post, “More than a spark 🔥.”
In reply to the post, Harrison wrote in the comments, “I love you, cowboy 🥰.”
Prior to the on-screen ranch hands confirming their real-life relationship, Bingham divorced Anna Axster — with whom he shares three kids and was married to for 12 years — in 2021. Harrison previously dated One Tree Hill alum Austin Nicols until 2020.
Bingham and Harrison sparked marriage rumors
On November 2023, Bingham and Harrison prompted questions about whether they had taken their relationship to the next level.
In an Instagram clip Bingham shared to promote his bourbon brand, Bingham’s Bourbon, the actor-singer appeared to be wearing a gold band on his ring finger.
The following month, the two appeared in a video for Cowboys & Indians Magazine’s Instagram, and Harrison was wearing a ring on the same finger.
At the time, neither Bingham nor Harrison’s reps responded to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
They frequently post about their love
Though Bingham and Harrison are keeping their marital status unknown, the couple has not been shy when it comes to posting pictures together.
In May 2023, Harrison shared a photo of herself and Bingham together at the 2023 Stagecoach country music festival, where Bingham performed. Then in July of the same year, the actress shared a cute snap of the two hitting the beach, captioning the picture of the pair looking into each other’s eyes, “Highly recommend taking your cowboy to the beach.”
Four days later, Bingham posted a different picture of them enjoying drinks while attending a Colter Wall concert together, with the actor writing alongside the post, “My lady asked me to take her to go see Colter Wall. Talented guy.”
In 2024, the two haven’t slowed down their social media tributes. For Ryan’s birthday, Harrison posted a sweet photo of them pressing their foreheads together and smiling at each other.
“Happy birthday to my sweet, sweet cowboy. Let’s keep adventuring, dreaming and giggling all night together…you know, best friend stuffs ✨🎂🥳,” she wrote on the March 31 post, which featured audio from Bingham’s song “This Life.”
They love to sing together
Bingham isn’t the only one who likes to carry a tune in this duo.
In December 2023, the Yellowstone actress posted a video of herself and Bingham lying on a couch while the Grammy-winning artist strummed his guitar and the two sang lyrics to what Harrison called a “love song” in her caption.
Days later, social media footage emerged of Bingham and Harrison singing the same song onstage together at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel’s Inspire Nightclub & Lounge during the actor’s Bingham’s Bourbon NFR After Party following his performance at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
While there, the two kissed, danced, posed for photos together and partied with their fellow Yellowstone costar Smith.
