The Ending Was a Lie? Secret Footage Suggests Tracker Season 2 Wasn’t the Real Finale

Fans of Tracker thought they had closure. Colter Shaw’s final choice, the last rescue, the emotional goodbye—it all felt like the end. But what if it wasn’t?

A Reddit leak by a former post-production intern has fans in a frenzy. The user, verified by mods, claims the aired season 2 finale was a last-minute switch, replacing a far darker and more open-ended version that hinted directly at Season 3.

According to the leak, the original cut showed Colter receiving a mysterious package moments after the last case—containing a photo of his missing father… alive. A cryptic voice message followed: “You were never supposed to find the truth.” The scene was reportedly removed just one week before airing, replaced by a cleaner emotional send-off.

Why would the network hide such a game-changing twist? Some speculate it’s a strategy to test demand for Season 3, while others believe there’s internal debate about the franchise’s direction. Lead actor Justin Hartley recently dodged a direct question about the show’s future, responding only with a smile: “I think fans will be surprised by what’s coming.”

Add to that the show’s rising streaming numbers and international popularity, and it’s clear Tracker still has gas in the tank. If the original footage exists—and insiders say it does—then the real finale hasn’t been seen yet.

And if that’s true, we haven’t seen the last of Colter Shaw either.
