NCIS: LA Exclusive – Peter Cambor Returns as Nate Getz for a Powerful Reunion with Kilbride

After years away from the action, NCIS: Los Angeles is bringing back a familiar face: Peter Cambor will reprise his fan-favorite role as Operational Psychologist Nate Getz in the upcoming episode airing Sunday, March 13.

A core part of the show’s early days, Cambor was last seen midway through Season 8. His return marks a meaningful moment, especially in light of what’s unfolding for longtime team leader G. Callen.

“We almost brought him back earlier,” showrunner Scott Gemmill previously shared, “but it didn’t work out for various reasons. We’ve talked about Nate’s return for a while now — especially because of what Callen is going through this season.”

And that storyline is about to take a dramatic turn.

A Mysterious Mission from the Past

In the episode titled “All the Little Things,” Nate sits down with Admiral Kilbride (played by Gerald McRaney), who fills him in on a shadowy CIA project from the 1970s and ’80s — one that involved children. The implications are vast, and with Callen’s personal arc tied into these revelations, Nate’s psychological expertise could prove crucial.

Meanwhile, a Race Against Time

While Nate digs into classified secrets with Kilbride, the rest of the team is dealing with a critical situation on the ground. When a newborn baby is discovered abandoned aboard a Navy ship, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) launch into action, searching for the child’s mother before a medical emergency turns deadly.

The episode promises a mix of emotional depth, high-stakes urgency, and the kind of long-awaited character moments that make NCIS: Los Angeles such a fan staple.
