Grab your passports and prepare for high-stakes romance — NCIS: Tony & Ziva is about to take us on a wild ride across Europe.
The upcoming NCIS spinoff, premiering September 4, 2025 on Paramount+, reunites two of the franchise’s most iconic characters: Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo). Known collectively by fans as “Tiva,” this dynamic duo is finally back on screen — and this time, they’re not just navigating dangerous missions, but also the complexities of parenting and rekindled love.
A New Chapter in Paris
Set years after their NCIS days, Tony & Ziva picks up in Paris, where the couple is raising their 12-year-old daughter Tali (played by Isla Gie). But their quiet life is shattered when Tony’s security firm comes under attack, forcing the family to go on the run across Europe.
As they work to uncover who’s after them, the former agents must also face their unresolved history. The logline teases a mix of intrigue, romance, and action, all underscored by the challenge of learning to trust one another again.
In a joint statement, Weatherly and de Pablo promised fans “an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears, and laughter.” They also gave a heartfelt thank you to longtime Tiva supporters, saying, “This is for you!”
A Deep NCIS Legacy
Tony and Ziva’s story has spanned two decades of NCIS history. Ziva debuted in season 3, while Tony was part of the series from the very beginning. The two developed a will-they-won’t-they relationship that culminated in a romance cut short when Ziva was presumed dead in season 11. By the end of season 13, Tony had left NCIS to raise their daughter after learning of Ziva’s secret pregnancy.
Ziva made a surprise return in season 16, revealing she had faked her death. Although she briefly rejoined the team in season 17, fans never got a full reunion—until now.
According to Weatherly, stepping back into the role with de Pablo felt seamless. “It was surprising how Cote and I just fell into this new place with our characters,” he said. “Informed by the past, illuminated by the present, and trying to see a future together.”
A Record-Breaking Tease
The series trailer, which dropped during the NCIS season 22 finale, quickly became the most-viewed in franchise history, racking up 93 million views across platforms in just one week.
The teaser opens with Ziva in therapy, trying to explain her current “on again, maybe again, kind of again” situation with Tony. From there, viewers are treated to a montage of explosions, candlelit dinners, tense chases, and heartfelt reunions — the perfect Tiva cocktail.
“You’re a great mother, and I couldn’t ask for a better… safe house roomie,” Tony tells Ziva in the clip — a perfectly awkward Tony moment that fans will instantly recognize.
The Cast & Crew
In addition to Weatherly and de Pablo, the cast includes Isla Gie as Tali, along with Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Nassima Benchicou, Julian Ovenden, Terence Maynard, Lara Rossi, and James D’Arcy.
The series is created and executive produced by NCIS vets and backed by Paramount+ as part of the streamer’s global push for franchise originals. Tony & Ziva marks the seventh series in the NCIS universe, following NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Hawai’i, NCIS: Sydney, and NCIS: Origins.
When and Where to Watch
NCIS: Tony & Ziva will launch with three episodes on September 4, followed by weekly drops every Wednesday through October 23, 2025.
