Boston Blue has recast the role of Danny Reagan’s son Sean, but the actor already has a number of projects lined up away from the Blue Bloods spin-off. For all 14 seasons of CBS’ police family drama, actor Andrew Terraciano portrayed Danny Reagan’s (played by Donnie Wahlberg) son Sean. However, in the upcoming spin-off Boston Blue, set to premiere on Friday, October 17, Sean will be played by actor Mika Amonsen.

It has been disclosed that Sean will carry on his family’s legacy as he becomes a patrolman for the Boston Police Department, explaining why Danny decided to leave New York.
While fans eagerly await the expansion of the Blue Bloods universe, actor Amonsen has been occupied with two film projects alongside the spin-off.
Both of the Boston Blue actor’s films are horrors, with the first, Whistle, now completed and featuring a host of familiar faces.

In addition to Amonsen, Whistle will star Shaun of the Dead’s Nick Frost, His Dark Materials’ Dafne Keen, Wednesday actor Percy Hynes White and Firefly Lane actress Ali Skovbye. Fans of Yellowjackets will also be excited to see actress Sophie Nelisse, who plays the terrifying teen Shauna, although details of her role have not been disclosed. The synopsis for Whistle reads: “A misfit group of unwitting high school students stumble upon a cursed object, an ancient Aztec Death Whistle.”
“They discover that blowing the whistle and the terrifying sound it emits will summon their future deaths to hunt them down.”
Amonsen’s second promising film, Fresh Meat, is currently in the final stages of production.

The unnerving synopsis discloses: “Internet influencers venture into an abandoned prison to create content, inadvertently unleashing a ravenous inmate.”They’re now trapped, fighting for survival while capturing terrifying content.”
Set to take the lead alongside Hannah Galway, Amonsen will soon grace screens, with Galway gaining recognition from her appearance as Officer Wendy Gullickson in The Institute on MGM+, captivating those newly tuning in.

Notably, Netflix viewers might recall seeing Galway in Sex/Life, portraying Emily, Cooper’s (played by Mike Vogel) ex-girlfriend.
