Damian Faces a Tragic End On and Off Screen What Happened to Jermaine Rivers

Whenever new romance blossoms, The Young and the Restless subjects it to a BRUTAL test. But this time, that test could be LETHAL – LITERALLY! And the one in deep trouble is none other than Damian, played by Jermaine Rivers. Let’s dive straight into it!

Blood And Kisses: Death Lurks In Genoa City!

Love is NOT in the air in Genoa City right now. In fact, it’s a chaotic mess of heartbreak, betrayal, and pandemonium running the show. The new, promising romance between Lily and Damian seemed about to ignite, but Cane Ashby’s return has turned it all into a BLOODY MIRE!

Cane has been obsessed with winning Lily back, but she has made it crystal clear: she’s done with the past and wants something, someone NEW! And to prove her point, Lily KISSED Damian right in front of Cane – a DIRECT PROVOCATION! At first, we thought it was just a heat-of-the-moment kiss, but no, it’s more serious than that! Spoilers reveal that Lily is now THROWING HERSELF AT DAMIAN, making it known she’s choosing him, not Cane.

And just when things heat up with a steamy kiss… guess who walks in? Yep, Cane! AND HE SEES EVERYTHING!

Let’s be real. Cane didn’t come back just to watch Lily move on. With Damian now in his way, Cane might just take matters into his own hands. And we don’t just mean emotionally. With his mysterious past, secret name changes, and shady absence all these years, who’s to say Cane isn’t capable of doing something EXTREME, EVEN MURDEROUS?!

Could this kiss from Lily actually turn into the KISS OF DEATH for Damian?! If Damian’s fate is sealed, does that mean Jermaine Rivers is out, too?! So far, there’s no official word on him leaving Y&R, but let’s just say things have been heating up for him off-screen, too.

The No-Holds-Barred War: Jermaine Rivers EXPLODES On Fans!

Recently, Jermaine Rivers jumped on X (Twitter) to vent about the negativity he’s been seeing from online soap fans. “I’m convinced that most, not all, of today’s so-called soap fans are far removed from the sweet old ladies who watched it back in the 70s, 80s, and ’90s,” he posted.

He said: “The internet has turned some fans into STRAIGHT SAVAGES who tune in just to complain. What happened to watching soaps for the love of it?” He asked: “Why are y’all so mad, hateful, and triggered for?” Some fans backed Rivers, agreeing that the hate had gone too far. And he kept the conversation going, reminding everyone how hard soap actors, writers, and crew work.

But when one fan tried to give a different perspective, saying that criticism is fair when the show slips, Rivers fired back, saying people getting triggered by soap storylines probably have some deeper personal stuff going on. He said: “It’s unhealed trauma and people shouldn’t blame fictional characters for their emotional reactions.”

That comment didn’t sit well with everyone. One fan clapped back, accusing him of brushing off criticism and being overly sensitive: “You wrote all that just to say, ‘If you didn’t like it, you must be broken. Be serious.’”

The community’s reactions were MIXED. Some feel Rivers was just standing up for the cast and crew. Others think he might have taken it too far. Either way, the drama clearly isn’t just on screen!

So, what do you think? Are fans just being passionate critics or crossing the line into TOXIC territory?! Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
