Next on Days of our Lives: Chanel lands in hot water
Whodunnit? The mystery of who shot EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) on that fateful night is only getting more intense. A recently discovered memory card sheds some light on the moments leading up to the shooting, though, crucially, it stops short of capturing the actual event. Still, what it does reveal is pretty explosive: Chanel (Raven Bowens) was there, and things between her and EJ got heated fast
Not only did she argue with him, but she also threatened him, telling EJ she’d make sure he didn’t live long enough to keep making her family miserable. Mere moments later, EJ was shot. Coincidence? The police don’t seem to think so. Now Chanel finds herself in serious trouble and has to face questioning from Jada (Elia Cantu)
We’re betting she’ll plead her innocence, but will anyone believe her?
Meanwhile, Paulina (Jackee Harry) is left to break the news to Johnny (Carson Boatman) about what the Salem PD has uncovered. He’s bound to be furious, but we’re pretty confident he’ll stand by Chanel, just as she stood by him during his own legal troubles.
What’s EJ really up to?
Elsewhere, EJ is working Belle (Martha Madison). What’s he really hoping to achieve? On the surface, he’s stepping in to defend his son Johnny, who’s now facing attempted murder charges. Belle, on the other hand, is the one set to prosecute him. Sounds messy, right?
But both EJ and Belle seem to be working toward a common goal—proving Johnny’s innocence. Whether or not that alliance holds up under pressure remains to be seen.
Family Drama: Xander, Maggie, Sarah & Philip
Days spoilers for July 11 also reveal that tensions are rising between Xander (Paul Telfer) and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers). The two recently had a heartfelt conversation that hinted at love for him—after all, Xander is Victor’s son. But that doesn’t mean Maggie is okay with whatever’s going on between him and her daughter, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey).
As for Sarah, she’s laser-focused on getting Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) to tell the truth—that it was actually Xander who nearly beat him to death. But why is she pushing so hard? Is she planning to use this information for leverage?
