Morena Baccarin is here to invite you to visit Sheriff Country this fall — and she brought a very special friend to help sing the spinoff’s praises.
This Friday night, CBS is airing three Fire Country encores, including Season 2’s “firenado” crisis and the episode that introduced Baccarin’s Sheriff Mickey Fox. Amid the mini-thon, there will be interstitial videos featuring Baccarin and Fire Country front man/co-creator Max Thieriot.
In TVLine’s exclusive first look at one of those videos, Baccarin and Thieriot set the stage for Sheriff Country, where Mickey Fox is known to get “down and dirty” when solving crime — with help, as seen in the clip, from co-star Matt Lauria’s Deputy Nathan Boone.
A second video, below, covers the topic of crossovers by Fire Country stars, and offers a first look at Diane Farr‘s Sheriff Country debut as Sharon Leone.

Filming in Toronto and premiering this fall, Sheriff Country stars Baccarin (Gotham, Homeland) as straight-shooting sheriff Mickey Fox, the stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief Sharon Leone.
Mickey investigates criminal activity while she patrols the streets of small-town Edgewater, contending with her ex-con father Wes (Deadwood‘s W. Earl Brown), who is an off-the-grid marijuana grower, and a mysterious incident involving her daughter Skye (Degrassi: The Next Generation‘s Amanda Arcuri), who struggles with addiction.
The Sheriff Country cast also includes the aforementioned Lauria (CSI: Vegas) as Nathan Boone, a smart and capable chief deputy/Mickey’s right-hand man; Christopher Gorham (Covert Affairs) as Travis Fraley, Mickey’s lawyer ex-husband and Skye’s father; and Michele Weaver (Love Is___) as Cassidy Campbell, a deputy who was inspired by Mickey to become a sheriff.
The recurring cast includes Arcuri, plus Caroline Rhea (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) as Gina, Sheriff Fox’s deadpan and efficient assistant and the face of the Edgewater County Sheriff’s Office.
