Gordon Ramsay voices chef on ‘Mickey and the Roadster Racers’

Chef Gordon Ramsay may seem like an intimidating, fire-breathing ogre on shows like Hell’s Kitchen — but he’s a puppy on the inside.

The MasterChef Junior host voices a stern but encouraging canine chef in the Nov. 5 episode of Disney Junior’s Mickey and the Roadster Racers, and in this exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak peek, Ramsay reveals why he’s guesting on the series.

Much as Ramsay does on Kitchen Nightmares, his chef Oxley character “gives restaurants a great shake-up and puts them back together,” he says.

Unlike Ramsay, Oxley does it without cursing. Instead of yelling at Minnie and Daisy, who are helping spruce up a diner, his gentle motto is, “Let’s stop looking and get cooking!”

Ramsay was excited to be a part of the series because he “grew up with Mickey, and also, I think having four young kids and watching them get excited about Mickey,” he says.

Mickey and the Roadster Racers airs Sundays at 8:30 a.m. on Disney Junior.
