Chicago P.D.’s Deleted Scene Was So Dark, NBC Ordered It Buried

There’s one episode of Chicago P.D. that left fans disturbed — and that was after NBC cut the darkest part.

Originally, a Season 5 scene showed Voight confronting a serial abuser. The scripted moment had Voight handcuffing the suspect and dragging him to a warehouse — where he pulls out a syringe.

The implication? Voight was going to inject the man with a sedative used on victims — a twisted act of justice.

The scene was filmed, edited, and prepared for airing — until network executives saw it and pulled the plug.

Even Jason Beghe, who plays Voight, allegedly voiced concerns after seeing the final cut. “This was the one time I questioned if we went too far,” he told a crew member.

The studio buried the footage. It’s never aired. But fans who attended a private pre-screening still talk about it online.

The line between cop and criminal has always been blurry in P.D. — but this scene may have crossed it entirely.
