Torrey DeVitto (Dr. Natalie Manning) and Jesse Lee Soffer (Jay Halstead of Chicago P.D.) were once one of One Chicago’s favorite real-life couples. The two quietly began dating while filming their respective shows — even as their characters orbited the same universe.
“It was adorable at first,” said one wardrobe assistant. “They’d meet between shoots, bring each other coffee. Total couple goals.”
But by late 2019, the mood shifted.
According to multiple crew members, the couple broke up abruptly — and it wasn’t pretty. “She showed up crying. He wasn’t on set that day, but everyone knew what had happened,” said a production designer.
