Tony and Ziva are back — and they’re bringing the heat (and the banter) this fall.
Michael Weatherly knows how to make an entrance — and an announcement. The NCIS fan favorite turned up the charm (and ditched the shirt) in a cheeky Instagram video to reveal the highly anticipated NCIS: Tony & Ziva will premiere September 4 on Paramount+. With his signature grin, the actor teased, “It’s coming Sept. 4,” before cracking up. Naturally, fans were swooning.
And if that wasn’t enough, a more official “save the date” video soon followed. Weatherly teamed up with co-star Cote de Pablo in a promo that instantly reminded everyone why “Tiva” is one of TV’s most beloved duos. “That’s my line, you always take my line,” de Pablo teased, proving their chemistry is still electric.
What We Know About NCIS: Tony & Ziva
Launching with three episodes on premiere day, the series will roll out weekly through its October 23 finale. The 10-episode season follows Tony and Ziva as they try to live a quiet life in Paris with their daughter, Tali (Isla Gie). But things go sideways when their private security firm is attacked — forcing the family into a dangerous game of survival across Europe.
Expect espionage, high-stakes drama, and plenty of unresolved romantic tension. “Returning to these roles together on screen after more than a decade has been an unforgettable journey packed with lies, spies, danger, desire… and self-driving murder cars,” Weatherly and de Pablo said in a joint statement. “This is one wild ride you won’t want to miss.”

Will There Be a Crossover?
Maybe. NCIS executive producer Steven D. Binder told TV Insider that while there’s no confirmed crossover with the main series just yet, “all the pieces are in play.” He also revealed he and Weatherly have had “many conversations” over the years about keeping Tony and Ziva’s story alive.
Until then, fans will just have to hang tight — and maybe rewatch a few classic NCIS episodes — before the Tiva chapter continues.
