Golden Bachelor’s Susan Noles has said that Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s divorce have negatively affected her job.
f anyone should be upset about Golden Bachelor stars Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s decision to divorce it’s fan-favorite Susan Noles.
The new podcast host revealed that she no longer has a perfect track record when it comes to being a wedding officiant.
Noles, 67, who officiated Gerry and Theresa’s Golden Wedding in January, said their recent divorce has ended her long streak of marrying couples who did not go on to divorce.
“They ruined my marriage thing. I mean, I had no divorces,” she joked to Us Weekly. “My record was perfect.”
Noles also provided an update on the couple following their announced divorce, saying they are “doing good.”
Noles has addressed the split before, as earlier this month she replied to an Instagram comment on a video of her and former co-star Kathy Swarts discussing the couple’s April 12 announcement.
The Instagram user asked the former contestants: “Why did they break up so quick?”
Noles simply replied read: “Neither one of them can leave their family.”
Gerry and Theresa cited distance as their main issue and the unwillingness to move from their respective states – Gerry in Indiana and Theresa in New Jersey.
Everyone has given their opinions on the bombshell divorce since the announcement but fans were the most angry over the split, calling the first season of the ABC show a “waste of time” because of it.
Former Bachelor Nation stars have also given their two cents, including Golden Bachelor contestant Maria Trice, who has claimed she “dodged a bullet,” and Faith Martin, who just wants to see the couple happy.
During their appearance on Good Morning America earlier, Gerry said:”Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations.”
“We’ve looked closely at our living situations and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s time for us to dissolve our marriage.”
“The things that strike me the most in our conversations it’s been how dedicated both of us are to our families. So, we look at these situations and I think we just feel like it’s best for the happiness of each of us to live apart,” he explained.
“I still love this person, there’s no doubt in my mind. I root for her every day.”
According to body language expert, Judi James, Gerry never showed “signs of commitment” to his now-estranged wife Theresa Nist.
Meanwhile, the former contestant looked “smitten” during public appearances with Gerry, while he appeared “detached.”
Regardless of what happened between Gerry and Theresa, Susan and and Kathy Swarts revealed in a new interview with ExtraTV that they have healed from Gerry’s reection of them on the dating show.
Susan said: “Of course we have. We’re in the friend zone. We’re buddies.”
Kathy then quipped: “I’m in the ‘leave him in the cornfields.'”
Susan and Kathy are both on good terms with both Gerry and Theresa, who he proposed to during the season finale.
The ladies haven’t left Bachelor Nation either.
They have a new podcast together called Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour, where they’ll dish on love and relationships.
