The charming small town of Virgin River is officially closed for filming — for now.
The beloved Netflix drama has wrapped production on its seventh season, and cast members marked the milestone with heartfelt tributes, behind-the-scenes selfies, and a few tantalizing teases about what’s to come.
Summer Sun & Final Scenes
Benjamin Hollingsworth (Brady) celebrated the final day of filming with a cheerful selfie post alongside co-stars Kandyse McClure and Zibby Allen. “First day of Summer and Last day of Filming Season 7 of Virgin River. ☀️,” he captioned, echoing the bittersweet vibes of the moment. McClure added in the comments, “It was the best day!” — emoji and all.
Zibby Allen (Brie) also shared photos with Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel) and Martin Henderson (Jack), writing simply, “VRS7 wrapped. These lives within these lives… 💚.” Hollingsworth sweetly replied, “I hit the scene partner jackpot.”
And fan-favorite Annette O’Toole (Hope) marked the end of her time in Canada with a subtle goodbye — a shot of her dog in a travel bag, captioned, “Bye Vancouver!”
“More Laughs, More Tears”
Colin Lawrence (Preacher) offered an emotional video farewell to Season 7, reflecting on his journey with the show:
“And that, my friends, is a wrap on Season 7 for John ‘Preacher’ Middleton. Oh gosh, what can I tell you? Another stellar season, in my humble opinion. This show has been the most fun to work on.”
He promised fans “more laughs, more tears, just a lot of emotion” — and perhaps even more seasons, adding, “Fingers crossed more to come.”
What’s Next In Season 7?
Though Netflix hasn’t announced a release date, previous patterns suggest Season 7 could arrive by late 2025, especially since Season 6 dropped in December 2024.
As for the plot? There’s plenty to look forward to.
-
The fight for Virgin River’s clinic will take center stage, following fallout from Doc’s controversial life-saving decision that could result in the clinic being taken over by a major hospital network.
-
Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) joins the cast as an ex-cop turned medical investigator who arrives in town with a mission — and possibly an old flame.
-
Cody Kearsley (Riverdale) also boards the cast in a recurring role, though details remain under wraps.
Fingers Crossed For More
While Netflix has yet to confirm whether Season 7 will be the end, both cast and fans seem hopeful that Virgin River‘s heartwarming (and sometimes heartbreaking) stories will continue.
After all, in a world full of chaos, there’s something soothing about a little town where everyone knows your name — and your secrets.
🌲 Virgin River Season 7 is coming soon to Netflix — with new faces, familiar drama, and more reasons to keep the tissues close.
