We know Gordon Ramsay as the relentless culinary drill sergeant, famous for shouting “It’s raw!” at trembling contestants. But at home? He’s a completely different man.
In a rare look into his personal life, Ramsay revealed that his morning routine includes flipping pancakes while watching cartoons with his youngest son. “I make Mickey Mouse pancakes every Sunday,” he said. “With blueberries for the ears.”
He’s banned all shouting in the kitchen at home. “My wife made that rule,” Ramsay laughs. “I’m not that Gordon when I’m cooking for the kids.”
Instead of yelling orders, he asks his daughter for help with chopping vegetables. He sneaks spinach into smoothies. He even plays sous-chef to his teen son, who’s learning to make pasta from scratch.
When asked if his kids watch his shows, he shook his head. “Only the cooking ones. Hell’s Kitchen is off-limits until they’re old enough to know I’m playing a character.”
This quieter version of Ramsay might surprise fans, but he says it’s always been there. “The rage is for the stage,” he said. “At home, I’m just Dad.”
