The Real Reason the ‘FBI’ Shows Aren’t New This Week
Even fake FBI agents need a day off every once in a while.
CBS’ hit FBI franchise, including FBI, FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted, won’t be airing new episodes on Tuesday, March 5. FBI and International will both air reruns, but the 10 p.m. slot usually occupied by Most Wanted will instead be dedicated to CBS News’ coverage of the Super Tuesday results as elections are held in 15 states across the country to determine the presidential candidates, among other public officials. Election results will also be broadcast at 10 p.m. on ABC and NBC, disrupting primetime schedules across the board.
If you’re still looking for your FBI fix, FBI will air a rerun of the Season 6 premiere titled “All the Rage,” while FBI: International revisits the Season 2 episode “Wheelman”—a great treat for any fans missing Special Agent Jamie Kellett (Heida Reed), who was written out of the series in the Season 3 premiere. Her exit, which was said to be due to a creative decision, aired on Feb. 13, with Kellett deciding to leave Budapest and head back to Washington D.C. Reed addressed fans afterwards on social media, writing, “Thank you SO MUCH to the fans for letting Jamie into your hearts.”
Next week, all three shows return with new episodes and new, timely cases to solve. On FBI, in an episode called “Creating a Monster,” a federal judge is gunned down execution-style in broad daylight, sending the team after a suspect with ties to a local Islamic center. Meanwhile, things become tense between OA (Zeeko Zaki) and girlfriend Gemma (Comfort Clinton) after her friend dies.
In “Cowboy Behavior,” FBI: International takes a trip to Bulgaria to chase after a criminal exploiting underage girls, and in “Hollow,” FBI: Most Wanted goes upstate and takes on a serial killer responsible for missing and murdered indigenous women. It all begins Tuesday, March 12 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
