Golden Bachelor’s Gerry breaks down in tears over ‘broken promise’ to Faith

Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner broke down in tears after being reunited with Faith on the Women Tell All Special.

Fans finally know the final two women Gerry Turner will be choosing between on The Golden Bachelor, after the conclusion to the hometown date rose ceremony finally aired.

After having a hard time confronting the fact that he had to say goodbye to either Faith Martin or Theresa Nist, the recipients of both his First Impression Rose and first one-on-one date, Gerry finally went through with the ceremony on the ABC show.

In the end, he chose to give Theresa the rose, and sent Faith home after sharing a graceful but still emotional goodbye to Gerry, which she admitted in the limo left her “numb.”

The two were then reunited face-to-face for the first time at the Women Tell All special, where everyone had a chance to make their feelings known.

Among the women getting a chance to reflect was Ellen, who also shared how upsetting it was that her best friend Roberta didn’t get a chance to watch her journey, because she passed away before the show premiered.

Then, Faith was given a chance to confront Gerry about what his choosing to send her home did to her emotionally.

Before being reunited, she shared with host Jesse Palmer that it had been hard for her to say goodbye because she had every intention of giving Gerry her all, and when that didn’t happen, it was truly devastating,

“Going into this, I really though, ‘OK, if I feel anything at all, I’m gonna go all-in,” she said. “And it shattered me.”

Gerry then came out for their face-to-face meeting, and both broke down in tears as they shared a hug.

After Faith got her chance to have her say about the situation, Gerry then broke down in tears again as he shared that his biggest regret was that he had also broken the promise he made to her family during their hometown date in Washington.

While visiting with her sons and grandchildren, Gerry promised that he wouldn’t break Faith’s heart and would protect her, something he admitted he wound up not doing in the end.

“I promised you family something, and I broke that promise. That’s so awful..I promised that I would protect your heart, and I didn’t do that,” he said.

Faith then comforted him to share that she knows he didn’t intentionally break her heart.

“I know your heart is true in all the good ways,” she said.

The Women Tell All special precedes the highly anticipated fantasy dates episode, before the finale on Nov. 30, where Gerry’s final decision will be revealed.
