‘General Hospital’ Star Delights Fans with Hilarious Kissing Scene Blooper Video

“It wasn’t QUITE as romantic on the day!” GH heartthrob said about what went wrong while trying to film a recent kissing scene.

General Hospital’s Chris L. McKenna, who portrays super spy heartthrob Jack Brennan, shared a behind-the-scenes blooper video of an onscreen kiss he shared with co-star Laura Wright, who plays vixen Carly Spencer, after the actual kiss aired.

McKenna took to X to share a video of an attempt they made at their kissing scene that was disrupted by a noisy set piece. He posted the video with the caption, “It wasn’t QUITE as romantic on the day! #BTS #GH #Jackly #Bloopers #BlooperReel #Ghbaby Sound up!”

McKenna took over the role of Jack Brennan in February after the previous portrayer, Charles Mesure, chose to leave the show last year.

After McKenna stepped into the role, Wright told Soap Opera Digest, “I had three shows [in one day] two weeks ago and I thought I was going to lose my mind because it was a lot of dialogue, so it’s challenging no matter what! But with Chris, he’s been like that since he got there. He shows up, he knows [the material], he does it, anything that we want to adjust or change, he’s like, ‘Okay, great.’ And we laugh all the time — he’s hilarious!”

In a separate SOD interview McKenna had this to say about working with Wright, “She’s such a powerhouse — the best actress that I’ve worked with. It’s so easy and I love working with her, so that was a dream right away. I remember hearing her laugh in the chemistry read. I had not heard her laugh in 30 years, and I remembered it immediately. I was like, “Oh my God, Laura’s laugh! That’s right, it’s this infectious laugh that takes over the whole room!” We shot some things out of order, so the first thing we had to shoot was the Valentine’s Day episode and we immediately had to go right into the heavy romance. That could have been a challenge, but it was so much fun and she made it great.”
