Golden Bachelor fans are convinced Gerry Turner had mind made up for weeks as he sent Faith home
Golden Bachelor fans reckon Gerry Turner, 71, had his mind set for weeks as he bid farewell to Faith Martin, 61, leaving Theresa Nist, 69 and Leslie Fhima, 64, in the contest.
The two ladies are the last ones standing out of 22 vying for Gerry’s heart.
On Thursday, viewers were gobsmacked when he chose to send home Faith, despite previously confessing his love for her.
Faith appeared quite upset by Gerry’s decision, but attributed it to their differing lifestyles.
She said: “I love to camp and hike and backpack and be on my horses. I’d never played pickleball before. I mean, there’s a million reasons that he might’ve gone, ‘Ah. This isn’t really a great fit,’ even though we had a strong connection.”
However, some fans believe they spotted a secret sign earlier in the show that hinted at Faith’s departure.
Viewers think that Gerry sent Faith packing because she wouldn’t relocate away from her grandkids, and all three women live at least six hours away from Gerry’s Indiana home.
One fan posted on Reddit: “Gerry wasn’t about to uproot from those with whom he’s closest to go live out in the West. For all the emotional turmoil of the other night on Women Tell All, it actually seems like a no-brainer.”
“That’s why, atm, my money’s on Leslie, the Minnesota gal — Minnesota’s close to Indiana,” they concluded. Another chimed in: “Retirees often have more flexibility to move. Keep in mind Faith is only 61. I think she is still working.”
“Someone said Theresa’s and Leslie’s homes are about a 6-hour drive from where Gerry lives in Indiana.”
A third then added: “Moving away from your grandkids is not the same as moving away from your parents. I think this is the only reason he let Faith go, because she was the only one (we saw) who said unequivocally that she would not move to Indiana.”
