ABC’s upcoming 9-1-1 spinoff, 9-1-1: Nashville, is heating up—and not just from the emergencies it promises to deliver. The cast of the highly anticipated series is coming into focus, with Variety reporting that Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and newcomer Hunter McVey have officially joined the ensemble. These rising stars will stand alongside lead actor Chris O’Donnell, rounding out a dynamic team of first responders set to tackle everything Nashville throws their way.
While plot specifics are still under wraps, the newly announced characters offer some intriguing hints at what’s to come. Kilgore will portray Taylor, a firefighter who’s also a singer—an especially fitting combination for the show’s Nashville setting. Provost takes on the role of Ryan, described as a “modern-day cowboy and firefighter.” Feliz joins as Roxie, a former adrenaline junkie turned trauma surgeon, and McVey makes his screen debut as Blue, a “haunted bad boy” who’s found a new path in firefighting.
Joining this next generation of heroes are seasoned stars including Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. Leading the charge is Chris O’Donnell, best known for his long-running role on NCIS: Los Angeles. Now stepping into the world of Nashville’s emergencies, O’Donnell brings both experience and star power to the new series.
Created by 9-1-1 mastermind Ryan Murphy alongside Tim Minear and Rashad Raisani—who also serves as showrunner—9-1-1: Nashville promises the same adrenaline-pumping drama and emotional storytelling that made the original franchise a hit. Executive producers include Murphy, Raisani, O’Donnell, Brad Falchuk, Brad Buecker, and original 9-1-1 star Angela Bassett, who brings her signature presence behind the scenes this time.
Since its debut in 2018, the 9-1-1 franchise has become one of television’s most successful procedural dramas. The flagship series, set in Los Angeles, captivated audiences with its gripping portrayal of emergency responders and recently earned a renewal for its ninth season. Angela Bassett’s portrayal of LAPD Sergeant Athena Grant became iconic, earning both audience praise and critical acclaim.
The first spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star, premiered in 2020 and followed Rob Lowe as firefighter Owen Strand navigating life in Austin, Texas. That series wrapped earlier this year after five seasons, leaving room for the franchise’s next chapter.
Now, as 9-1-1: Nashville tunes up for its debut, fans can expect a new blend of heart-stopping emergencies, high-stakes drama, and southern charm. Where the new team’s journey will lead—and what fires they’ll be putting out both professionally and personally—remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: Nashville is about to get a whole lot more intense.
