Dakota Johnson is one lucky woman.
Ahead of Materialist’s release in theaters on June 13, PEOPLE has an exclusive clip depicting the early stages of a love triangle between Johnson’s Lucy, a modern matchmaker, and eligible bachelor Harry (Pascal, 49) and her ex John (Evans, 43).
“Love is easy,” Lucy tells Harry while sitting across from him in a blue gown at a wedding reception.
“Is it? I find it to be the most difficult thing in the world,” he replies, smirking at Lucy, then questioning whether she is hitting on him. Lucy quickly waves the notion off, and instead begins her matchmaking pitch — quickly sussing out that Harry is a wealthy New York bachelor.
The two are soon interrupted by John, who pops in with Lucy’s favorite drink combo — a coke and a beer.

A trailer for writer-director Celine Song’s rom-com shows Johnson, 35, as a matchmaker whose professional life grows complicated after her own love life is thrust into the spotlight when she meets a potential new lover, Harry at an event and coincidentally reconnects with her ex, John, the same night.
In the trailer, John asks Lucy if she intends on marrying Harry, whom seemingly wants to wed Lucy. The complicated love triangle even puts a strain on Lucy’s confidence in her career.
“A young, ambitious New York City matchmaker finds herself torn between the perfect match and her imperfect ex,” reads an official synopsis for the film.
