Golden Bachelor fans are still scratching their heads about Theresa and Gerry deciding to marry on Theresa’s daughter’s birthday.

Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist have made their vows to each other during the Golden Wedding and have already returned from their honeymoon in Italy.
However, some fans are still scratching their heads about one small detail of their special day.
They’re still wondering why Theresa and Gerry decided to tie the knot on Theresa’s daughter Jen’s birthday on January 4.
The mother and daughter are very close.
Theresa has called Jen her “lifesaver” for helping her plan the entire wedding and previously revealed that Jen had no problems about the clash in dates.
On Wednesday, Golden Bachelor’s Instagram account posted a series of sweet snaps taken from the Golden Wedding that was captioned with: “Memories.”
In the comments section, fans posted their overall opinions of the nuptials.
But one person couldn’t help but ask why Theresa and Gerry had to marry on Jen’s birthday.
The user wrote: “I loved the golden bachelor but I do have to ask…why did Teresa have to get married on her daughters birthday? Was it a contract with the network?”
The person then pointed out that Sandra Mason also missed her daughters wedding to star on the hit ABC dating show.
They added that they feel sorry for the contestant’s daughters.
“I mean 1st Sandra missing her daughters wedding and then the golden wedding on Teresa’s daughters birthday? Like I feel for these daughters,” the user continued. “I also feel like Daughter of the bride really didn’t get highlighted a lot and it was all about Gerry’s daughters. Am I the only one?”
One person replied to the social media user saying: “they chose that date. My mamaw got remarried on my moms bday and my mom absolutely loved it. To each is their own.”
Not all of the Golden Bachelor contestants left their daughters high and dry.
Joan Vassos revealed she had to leave the show early to be there for her daughter who was struggling with postpartum depresssion.
Theresa and Jen clearly talked about the wedding happening on Jen’s birthday.
The morning of the highly anticipated nuptials, Theresa posted a tribute to Jen, thanking her for all her help in planning the day and wishing her a happy birthday.
