Anna Kendrick played a supporting role throughout several entries in the Twilight Saga. Here’s how many movies she appears throughout the series.
Here’s how many times Anna Kendrick appeared in The Twilight Saga as Jessica Stanley. The first Twilight novel by author Stephenie Meyer was published in 2005 and followed the burgeoning romance between teen Bella and vampire Edward. The YA bestseller soon made the leap to the big screen in 2008, with the movie not only being a major smash but spawning a further four entries. The film franchise was commonly greeted with bad reviews, but it continues to hold a nostalgic spot for fans.
Twilight cast several future stars too and certainly did a great job picking out its ensemble. There’s Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who have since impressed audiences and critics with an array of different projects and performances, in addition to supporting players like Rami Malek, who played Benjamin in the series. There was also Anna Kendrick, who made one of her earliest film appearances in the original Twilight as Jessica.
Jessica Stanley is a teenager Bella befriends while attending Forks High School, with Kendrick’s version being softened from the book’s portrayal. Her was also melded with a personality dropped character from the book named Lauren. The first Twilight was one of Anna Kendrick’s first major roles, but she soon appeared in the likes of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World and Up In The Air, and her star began to rise. The actress stayed with the Twilight Saga, however, although her role gradually decreased.
In total, Anna Kendrick appeared in four Twilight movies; the original, New Moon, Eclipse and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Her role in the latter, in particular, was basically a cameo as Jessica returns for the wedding of Edward and Bella. In keeping with her petty jealousy of Bella, she makes a few comments marked during her wedding speech too. While Kendrick is credited with appearing in Breaking Dawn – Part 2, Jessica doesn’t return for the final entry.
Since The Twilight Saga ended, Anna Kendrick’s gone on to even bigger fame due to the success of the Pitch Perfect franchise, The Day Shall Come or Love Life. Given the success of the Twilight series, it seems inevitable it will be rebooted for either a new movie or TV show at some point. It’s very unlikely producers would be able to lure back the starry likes of Stewart, Pattison or Kendrick though, as not only have they aged out of teenage roles, but they would be unlikely to want to revisit the saga either.
