Staff who worked the Golden Bachelor wedding have revealed just how Gerry and Theresa acted in the lead up to their big day.
Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist had a lavish wedding at the La Quinta Resort and Club in Palm Springs, California.
Despite being reality stars, the pair were allegedly low-key when it came to planning their grand nuptials.
The couple had a wedding that was paid for entirely by ABC, allowing them to go wild with expenses.
However, despite an extensive budget, which allowed them to splash out on designer attire, elaborate flowers and expensive Neil Lane rings, the two surprised staff at the wedding venue when they arrived to help plan.
Staff members from the resort shared their thoughts on the pair now that the wedding has past.
Speaking to Life & Style, a source shared that staff was surprised because the two were so low-key.
“Gerry and Theresa were at the venue all week preparing with the team, and the staff kept joking that the Golden bachelor and his fiancee were a lot less diva-ish than what they’re used to!” the source shared.
“No bridezillas here!” they added.
While the pair weren’t dramatic and demanding, they did still have a hand in selecting the details when it came to various elements of their big day.
The publication notes that the two opted for a color palette of pale pink, white, cream and gold accents, and also revealed Theresa was the one who picked the songs performed by the four-piece strong orchestra.
Now that the nuptials are over, the pair are settling into their new life together–even if they don’t have a permanent plan in mind when it comes to where they’ll live.
Currently, the two have settled in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, Theresa’s home town.
The pair were originally planning to move to Charleston, South Carolina, but revealed prior to their wedding that they were also considering New Jersey.
