FBI Star Jeremy Sisto Teases CIA Spinoff in Exclusive ScreenRant Interview

ScreenRant’s Debunking AI is back with one of the stars from FBI season 7. Debunking AI asks an AI chatbot personal and professional questions about an actor, director, or other creative, only for that person to give the final word on what’s true and what’s not. The latest episode features Jeremy Sisto, an actor well-known for his role as Elton in the 1995 classic comedy Clueless, and a star of the long-running series FBI.

The FBI season 7 finale was full of big developments for its core ensemble. While Sisto didn’t get into spoilers in Debunking AI, he did offer a look at the world from ASAC Jubal Valentine’s point of view. For those who haven’t caught up, FBI season 7 is now available to watch on Paramount+.

This episode of Debunking AI is full of fun insights into the lives of Jeremy Sisto and his FBI character, including reveals about the ways in which Sisto and Valentine are similar. The chatbot also provided some truly inventive ideas when it comes to the personal lives of both Sisto and Valentine, and got Sisto to reveal his hopes for the upcoming FBI: CIA spinoff. How Much Did AI Get Right About Jeremy Sisto?

“I Don’t Think You Understand My Soul”

The AI chatbot was reliably accurate when it came to answering basic questions about Jeremy Sisto. It knew his role on FBI (Jubal Valentine), his acting debut (Grand Canyon, a movie directed by Lawrence Kasdan and starring Kevin Kline and Steve Martin), and his best-known role (Elton in Clueless). It also got some interesting facts about Sisto’s life right, including the fact that he was fired from his job as a sandwich artist at Subway for getting meatball sauce on the cutting board.

“That is true,” Sisto said, “But I didn’t just get fired for getting meatball sauce on the cutting boards. I got fired for getting meatball sauce on the cutting boards three separate times, and you have to clean them with bleach–it’s a very complicated process. He was not happy with me, so we ended our partnership there on the third board.”

Justice League: that was the one I was hungover for.

The chatbot also correctly said that Sisto was a multi-instrumentalist and that he auditioned for a role in Frozen by playing “Crazy Love” by Van Morrison (although it wrongly stated that “Crazy Love” was Sisto’s favorite song). But the bot went on to say that Sisto loves to listen to jazz music before filming intense acting scenes, that he originally had aspirations of becoming a doctor, and that he was hungover when he recorded the role of Batman for the Injustice video game series–all of which are incorrect.

On the Batman front, Sisto said, “I wasn’t the voice in the Injustice video game series. I was the voice of Batman in a TV show. I think it was Justice League. That was the one I was hungover for.”

There were other near misses and flat-out wrong answers from the chatbot that eventually prompted Sisto to say, “I don’t think you understand my soul, AI.”

“Jubal Would Love It”

Sisto also replied to the chatbot’s ideas about his FBI character Jubal Valentine–some wilder than others. The chatbot said that “Jubal Valentine secretly collects antique typewriters”, which prompted Sisto to reply “I don’t think he watches the show.” It also offered ways in which Sisto and Valentine were similar. “‘Communication style?’ Not so much,” the actor said, though he did share that “I think we have a similar work ethic,” and “we have similar family values.”

Discussing Jubal Valentine’s most intense and emotional moments in season 7, Sisto also recalled the emotional stakes of the finale. “Episode 5 delves into Jubal’s guilt over wrongfully declaring two missing girls [dead],” said the actor, responding to the chatbot’s answer about which episode was the most emotional, “It was emotional, but no. It was this finale … we were fighting for our existence. We were fighting to stay above ground, and it was a devastating episode.”

When asked about FBI season 8, the chatbot instead talked about the FBI: CIA spinoff, which it said had “been discussed”. “It has been more than discussed,” replied Sisto, “It’s in the works, and it is premiering alongside our new episodes coming in at season 8.” The bot also suggested that Jubal Valentine could make his way over to the spinoff, to which Sisto said, “I’m hoping … that Jubal Valentine can help out the CIA situation. But you don’t know. We don’t know if it’ll happen. I don’t know if I’ll get the call. But Jubal would love it.”
