If FBI: Most Wanted had to end, at least it did so nicely. The final hour of the original FBI spinoff was mostly spent dealing with a big but also normal (for this show) case involving a new government oversight department called the Department of Government Efficiency.
Sorry, just kidding, it’s actually a totally made-up organization called “BOGO,” the Bureau of Government Oversight, that was cutting costs and cutting staff and closing various government programs. During a protest, one of the BOGO employees was murdered in a drive-by shooting. It seemed like it was part of the protest, but the team eventually found out that she was killed for access to something she was overseeing, not because she was overseeing in general.
It was all wrapped up pretty well with about 10 minutes left in the hour, which allowed the entire Most Wanted gang to gather at Remy (Dylan McDermott) and Abby’s (Susan Misner) new bar, The Muster Room, for a few revelations, celebrations, and nice endings for all.
In an interview with Parade, showrunner David Hudgins revealed that the episode title, “The Circle Game,” was a nod to his vision for the finale.
