Grey’s Anatomy won’t be the same without them
Grey’s Anatomy fans are worried that one major character could be leaving the show after the intense season finale.
The show’s finale was an intense watch, with many characters’ lives in danger after an explosion on the OR floor.
During the final episode of the season, a heartbroken mother threatened to blow up the hospital with a tank filled with explosive gas. She forced Amelia to operate on her young daughter, who was suffering from locked-in syndrome after brain surgery.
The mum held the team hostage in the operating room until the surgery was over. She then let go of the gas tank and admitted it was empty all along. The S.W.A.T. team then fled in and arrested the mother.
The team thought everyone was safe, but an explosion happened on the OR floor as the episode ended.
However, we don’t know who was in the room when it happened.
Fans are now concerned that a lead character will be killed off.
Many notable characters were on the operating floor at the time of the explosion.
They include Bailey, Teddy, Amelia, Link, and Richard.
Fans believe Link is in danger because he was last seen holding that grinding tool that can create sparks.
Just before the explosion, Link found out his wife Jo was pregnant with twins.
In an interview with Deadline, Grey’s Anatomy showrunner Meg Marinis couldn’t confirm if Link would survive the explosion.
Speaking about Jo and Link, she said:
“That story is such a great story in the finale because you think they get married, and then they have this lovely, blissful storyline where they’re completely oblivious to what’s going on.
“And so that was all very intentional to just sucker punch the fans, because that’s what we do so well here. But no, nobody wants those two unborn girls to be fatherless, but everyone’s just going to have to tune in to see if Link was in the part of the hospital that went kaboom.”
