Jamie Dornan and his musician wife Amelia Warner enjoyed an Easter weekend in a popular and scenic part of Ireland.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2013, have been sharing glimpses of their journey with fans as they explore the countryside and visit some of West Cork’s top seaside locations
Despite a rainy Easter break, it didn’t deter Co Down man Dornan from taking a daring plunge into the cold Celtic Sea on Friday.
Like many stars seeking a retreat, Dornan has previously spent downtime in West Cork. Numerous celebrities have identified it as an ideal place to escape the limelight – a challenging task for 42 year old double IFTA winner Dornan, who gained a massive fanbase following his portrayal of Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades trilogy.
Dornan also starred in the 2020 romantic comedy Wild Mountain Thyme, a film that drew attention due to co-star Emily Blunt’s ‘struggle’ with the Irish accent, reports Cork Beo.
Amelia Warner, Dornan’s wife, is also familiar with the spotlight, having acted before shifting her focus to music. She has performed onstage under the pseudonym ‘Slow Moving Millie’ and composes film soundtracks, including the score for the Elle Fanning film Mary Shelley in 2017.
West Cork has long been a magnet for celebrities, with its tranquil setting and stunning landscapes. Notably, actor Jeremy Irons purchased Kilcoe Castle, located near Ballydehob on Roaringwater Bay, back in 1998. More recently, Paul Mescal and Phoebe Bridgers were rumoured to be house hunting in the area prior to their break up.
