NCIS Legend Joins 90% Rated Netflix Series: Sasha Alexander Is Officially Back

After nearly two decades away from the top procedural arena, Sasha Alexander – the “goddess” Caitlin Todd of NCIS – is back and has chosen a hot project: Netflix’s TheLincolnLawyer, a series currently holding a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. For anyone who loves legal dramas, this series is “high” – and now it’s even “heavier” thanks to Alexander’s return.

FBI Agent Dawn Ruth: Mickey Haller’s new rival
In season 4, Alexander plays FBI Agent DawnRuth: cold, authoritative, no-nonsense. In her first appearance, Ruth raids Mickey Haller’s dinner and bluntly warns: stop digging into the FBI investigation, or you’ll get yourself into trouble. Mickey was left hanging by a thread at the end of season 3 (arrested, dead body in the trunk, solution of… zero). Now there’s a new “demon,” a challenge that producer TedHumphrey promises is the “biggest and most personal” Mickey has ever faced.

From the “headshot” on NCIS to the “glow‑up” on Netflix
Alexander left NCIS in 2005 with one of the most shocking TV exits: Caitlin Todd was shot in the head by renegade secret agent Ari. On the podcast Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch, she admitted that she decided to leave the role to avoid burnout from filming “every scene, every day” with Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly. That departure paved the way for Ziva David, for “Tiva,” and countless new storylines that spanned a decade.

After NCIS, Alexander made her mark on Rizzoli & Isles and Shameless, but TheLincolnLawyer marked her first return to the investigative genre—this time on the “opposite side,” and much sharper than the gentle Caitlin of yore.

Why Fans Can’t Miss
The Lincoln Lawyer has already “suspended” the audience with a breathtaking open ending; now, the appearance of Sasha Alexander promises to increase the heat a few notches. If you cried over Caitlin Todd’s death or simply love American courtroom drama, now is the time to “plow” through the first three seasons and get ready to witness Mickey Haller’s struggle against FBI Agent DawnRuth – who could become his most dangerous enemy.
