According to the TV Promos trailer, the team heads to Tokyo to continue their search for a Japanese serial killer, which began in FBI: International season 4, episode 21. The suspect they are hunting for during the procedural’s final episode is believed to be responsible for 13 deaths. However, the case will take an exciting turn when Mitchell discovers photos that suggest this person has killed many more people than the team expected when they began their search. Many cases take place in Hungary itself or in surrounding countries. The Tokyo case is the first case in a long time to take place in an Asian country instead of in Europe.
