Can you understand all this beatnik slang from The Beverly Hillbillies?

In The Beverly Hillbillies episode “Clampett A-Go-Go,” a hipster named Sheldon Epps ends up in the Clampett mansion after trying to sell his artwork to the Drysdales. With his dirty sweatshirt and facial hair, he resembled Maynard G. Krebs (Bob Denver) of The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, the most well-known beatnik in classic TV.

Sheldon has goo-goo eyes for Elly May, while Jed and the rest of the Clampett clan struggle to understand a single word he says.

Do you think you can dig the slang that “Shelly” is spewing?

See if you can translate these actual bits of dialogue from the sitcom!
