‘FBI: Most Wanted’ and ‘FBI: International’ Stars Bid Farewell to Shows

Though fans of the CBS procedural “FBI” series had to say goodbye to two of the three shows, no one was hurt more than the cast.

Both “FBI: Most Wanted” and “FBI: International” were cancelled during the 2024-2025 television season as a cost cutting measure for CBS.

FBI, OUT

The shows were initially canceled in early March of 2025. “Most Wanted” and “International” wrapped filming in late April with enough time to adjust scripts. The two leave the still ongoing original “FBI” as it enters its eighth season.

“Most Wanted” star Edwin Hodge posted a myriad of pictures featuring the cast and a behind the scenes look of the show.

“All good things must come to an end. I’m filled with so much abundance and appreciation for this prodigious cast and crew. Thanks to the cast for simply being their authentic selves. My days were filled with laughter every time I went to work,” he wrote on Instagram. “The crew showed up everyday to add their magic to make the show a hit as well. All teams stayed on deck and I couldn’t be happier with the work environment and ultimately my experience on the show!”

Hodges’s wife, Skye Marshall, currently stars in another CBS show, “Matlock.”

Shantel VanSanten posted a picture with the entire crew of the show with the caption “THATS A WRAP!! It takes a team and each one of these human’s contributions is crucial to bringing you a show you have loved for over [100] episodes!!! I am lucky to have been a part of this family and made so many connections for life!! Thanks to each of you for your dedication and passion day in and day out!”

Eva-Jane Willis sent out a heartfelt thank you to fellow stars Carter Redwood and Vinessa Vidotto.

“On this our last day of filming I want to say a special thank you to these two. They were there on Day 1 long before I was and they made it all the way to the finish line. It has been an honour to watch them and learn from them,” she wrote. “My favourite duo: and trust me I was asking “will they won’t they” more than anyone! A special round of applause for them- my dear friends. Lots more posts to come to say thank you to all the people that made this such a special experience but for now: it’s Raines and Vo.”

Not the End of the Wolf Universe

CBS recently won its 17th consecutive television season as the most watched broadcast network. Both “Most Wanted” and “International” ranked in the top 20 shows watched on the network – at 16 and 17 respectively. Both shows matched with an average of 6.49 million viewers. Vanilla “FBI” ranked at fourth with an average of 8.11 viewers.

Like many other entertainment entities, CBS parent company Paramount is in cost cutting mode as it tries to make itself lean enough to sell to film studio Skydance.

“Most Wanted” ran for six seasons while “International” was on for four.

Another “FBI” spinoff series is in the works under the name “CIA.” “Lucifer” star Tom Ellis is set to lead the show. Ellis will play “a fast-talking, rule-breaking loose cannon CIA case officer” who is joined by “a by-the-book, seasoned and smart FBI agent who believes in the rule of law.”

“CIA” comes from “FBI,” Law & Order, and “Chicago” creator Dick Wolf and “Most Wanted” showrunner David Hudgins.
