We’re now eighteen episodes into the fourth season of the US remake of Ghosts, and the reveals just keep on coming. The beauty of having such a stable cast of intricately crafted characters is the ability to slowly reveal details about their pasts, pasts that, as ghosts, are much denser than the average character. In Episode 18, “Smooching and Smushing,” it was the turn of Sasappis (Román Zaragoza), who was facing the critical challenge of finding love as it sat right under his nose. Now, thanks to a promo for the upcoming Episode 19, we know that it is Trevor (Asher Grodman) who will face the limelight as major familial surprises are revealed.
“CBS next Thursday, our most revealing ghost gets a reveal all his own,” the promo, available to watch below, announces, as it is shockingly revealed that Trevor is a father, and his offspring is scarily close to home, rightfully leaving Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) in a state of chaotic confusion. “No pants!?” Jay exclaims, which is likely the exclamation also made by millions of viewers across the world. The exact details of what may happen in the coming episode thankfully remain somewhat hidden, although a synopsis for Episode 19, “Pinkus Returns,” does read:
“When Trevor’s former co-worker, Pinkus, and his daughter, Abby, show up at Woodstone Mansion, Trevor gets the surprise of his afterlife.”
‘Ghosts’ Season 4 Is Yet Another Hit For the Series
With an opening three seasons that all hold remarkable critical acclaim, Ghosts has continued to defy the tradition of British comedies struggling across the pond by once again achieving universal praise for Season 4, so much so that the series has already been renewed for not just one but at least two more seasons on CBS. Although the season is yet to finish, there’s no doubt that many will consider this the best so far, even with both Seasons 2 and 3 holding a coveted 100% critical rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. With an impressive 8/10, Collider’s Tania Hussain praised the fourth season in her official review back in October 2024, saying, “The Port and Wiseman sitcom is on its way back to exploring new, emotional landscapes across the Woodstone grounds for a season that feels every bit as exciting and fun as its first.”
