
The Nathan Fillion-starring procedural picked up an additional 5 million viewers across the week
ABC’s “The Rookie” has hit a season-best in its seven-day multiplatform viewing with Season 5, Episode 5, according to Nielsen live plus seven-day and ABC multiplatform plus seven-day numbers shared exclusively with TheWrap.
Viewing of the Nathan Fillion-starring procedural jumped up to 8.5 million viewers across a week of linear and digital platform watching, up 5.1 million from its initial average of 3.4 million viewers in live plus same-day figures. The series also increased its live plus-same day score among adults 18-49 nearly five times over, from 0.35 to 1.71.
The numbers follow a steady rise for the show, which also posted its highest-rated telecast for its Oct. 16 episode, which saw a two-part crossover with the Niecy Nash-starring spinoff “The Rookie: Feds.” In live plus seven-day numbers, “The Rookie” emerged as the No. 1 show in the 10 p.m. slot among the demo, picking up a 412% increase in ratings. That week, it also tied its biggest delayed-viewing lift with an additional 5.2 million watchers.
