Beyond the Afterlife: How Ghosts on CBS is Just Getting Started

Season 4 is underway for Ghosts, the hit CBS series which first debuted in 2021. Amid the show’s fourth season, several of its stars addressed its longevity along with the possibility of Lin-Manuel Miranda making a special appearance.

At New York Comic Con, CBR’s Kevin Polowy discussed Ghosts Season 4 with four of the show’s cast members. Those interviewed include Rose McIver (Sam), Sheila Carrasco (Flower), Román Zaragoza (Sass), and Brandon Scott Jones (Captain Isaac Higgintoot). They spoke about joining the series and how it has since reached its fourth season. As for how long the series may go on from here, it was teased that they are willing to stick around for as long as fans continue to watch and enjoy the show.

“I think what I was excited by, as a story engine, I just think there’s so much room,” McIver said of what drew her to the show at the start. “I could see the longevity. Yeah, it was going to be a risk, and it’s not a simple project by any stretch, but I just think there’s so much room to explore.”

I could see the longevity.

She added, “There’s just so much to mine, and I think now we are fortunate enough to be four seasons into the show, we are really getting to do that, and we’re getting to look not just at where people come from, but how those histories influence the relationships and the dynamics they have in the house today, and that’s a luxury that you only get when you have enough episodes, and enough time with the story and with these characters. So, I feel really fortunate for that.”
