Faith Martin and Theresa Nist were roommates in the house, so Faith has a unique perspective on all the Theresa hate going around.
The Golden Bachelor’s Faith Martin has given her personal insight into what it was like living with Theresa Nist, who she describes as “innocent” and “naive”. The two ladies were roommates on the show, giving Faith a unique perspective on the drama surrounding Theresa.
In the third episode of the spin-off series, Theresa found herself in the middle of a conflict with Kathy. After sharing her excitement about a connection with Gerry Turner, Kathy accused her of bragging. This led to a misunderstanding with Gerry, who warned he wasn’t interested in drama.
Kathy went into the drama on the Women Tell All Special, admitting maybe both the contestants were to blame. Kathy explained: “In the moment we were all dating one man. People who know me know I’m a straight shooter. Watching the show back, could I have been a little more delicate, yes absolutely.
She added: “Maybe we both should have zipped it. Truly it’s passed and it’s in the moment. I think Theresa knows that too. I truly wish everyone the best. This show is about love but also about hope, friendship and what life offers us.”
Faith watched the tension unfold and told Glamour: “She’s very innocent, naive, and I think wants to feel included in the group chats. And she tends, like we all do at times, to overshare a little bit. I don’t feel like there was ever anything mean-spirited about her. She’s not a malicious person at all.”
Adding to her comments, Faith said: “Theresa was my roommate in the mansion. As far as I know, there is not a mean bone in her body. She is a very sweet soul.”
Faith and Theresa, along with Leslie, were the final three contestants on the show. However, Gerry sent Faith home in a shocking twist, leaving just two competitors. Despite being Theresa’s former roommate, she didn’t offer her any support for Gerry’s final decision but didn’t rule her out either.
When asked who she thought was right for Gerry, she responded: “That, I’m not going to say. I’ve gone back and forth. I have no idea. I mean, I might have an inclination, but I wouldn’t say because I could be wrong too.”
Theresa also spoke about the drama. She posted on Instagram: “Never in a million years did I think that I was going to find myself involved in drama. That is so not who I am.
“As you saw, I acknowledged that everyone felt a connection to Gerry, and I welcomed that. We were all on a journey to see who was the best fit for Gerry.”
