“Ghosts” Fans Can’t Handle This Román Zaragoza Reveal—Sasappis’ Endgame Just Got Wild

After Season 3’s incredible “Holes Are Bad” episode revealed how Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) died in a moving bid to rescue Flower (Shiela Carrasco) from the well she’d fallen into, there’s only one spirit on Ghosts whose death remains a mystery. And while it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting the answer in Season 4, Román Zaragoza is hopeful that we’ll finally learn about Sasappis’ death in Season 5 or 6, as Ghosts has been renewed for not just one but at least two more seasons on CBS.

I recently sat down with Zaragoza to discuss Sasappis’ big romance storyline for Season 4, and during our wide-ranging conversation, he revealed that Sass’ death is at the top of his wishlist for future seasons of Ghosts. While he doesn’t have any specifics in mind, he knows exactly the tone he hopes series creators Joe Port and Joe Wiseman strike with it when the show finally gets there. He told Collider:

A big wish for me as an actor and as a lover of the show is to find out how Sass died. I think that’s a big piece that we’re still missing, and I would love for it to be something so ridiculous that he’s been hiding it for so long. Like, he’s been telling a story, and it turns out that story is completely false, and it’s actually something else incredibly embarrassing. That’s something that I would love to have.”
