Blue Bloods’ Amy Carlson shares her favorite moments from the series
Actor Amy Carlson appeared in more than 150 episodes of “Blue Bloods” as Linda Reagan, the wife of Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg). Linda was known for a few things when she stepped into the frame on “Blue Bloods.” Mrs. Reagan is a loving mother to her sons, Jack (Tony Terraciano) and Sean Reagan (Andrew Terraciano), and is a part-time nurse at St. John’s Hospital. Vincent works in the emergency room. Although not a member of the criminal justice system like her husband and her husband, Linda has done a lot to help people and members of the Reagan family over the years. Her efforts sometimes lead to some close calls, such as when she is held at knifepoint or shot not once, but twice. Even though it was done off-screen between seasons, her death was also a huge challenge, as it was revealed that she was killed in a helicopter crash.
While there’s plenty to choose from, fans should know better than to sleep on Carlson’s character. Out of all that happened, certain moments during her time on the CBS series stand out as Carlson’s favorites among the rest.
Linda’s emotional moments with Danny stand out
When Amy Carlson was discussing her favorite moments from “Blue Bloods,” there were two specific instances on the show that stood out for the actor. An incident in a Season 2 episode titled “The Job”, where her character walks in on Danny teaching Jack how to use a gun, and in a Season 6 episode titled “Help Me, Help You”, where Linda sits next to her husband begged him to change his dishonest lifestyle. “Whenever there were moments where we connected on a deeper level, on a human level, beyond the acting, but as two human beings playing these characters,” Carlson said. “Those are all my favorite moments.” Linda and Danny Reagan’s more impactful scenes together are some of Carlson’s most treasured memories from the show.
While always closely associated with his tenure on “Blue Bloods,” Carlson has been creating more beloved moments in other projects after leaving the CBS police procedural . Since Season 7, Carlson has appeared prominently in several other key small screen endeavors such as “The Village” on BBC One, “The Society” on Netflix and “FBI: Most Wanted” on CBS. She has also shown off her big screen skills in movies like “The Incoherents,” “Sunny Daze,” and “Know Fear.” While Carlson continues to add to her collection of career highs, it’s safe to assume she’ll always look back fondly on her favorite scenes from “Blue Bloods.”
