Will Taylor Sheridan bring Kevin Costner back for Yellowstone finale? Find out
Kevin Costner may yet return to Yellowstone for the second part of its fifth and final season.
Kevin exited the show after a disagreement with the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan. The actor was reportedly told that he’d be paid less for the last season. He also allegedly wanted more of a say in his character’s fate and an easier filming schedule.
However, an insider now says that he and Taylor may sort it out for the good of the show. “He’d like to close the series properly so he can move on and feel good about it,” the source told Star magazine.
“A lot of the cast and crew blame Kevin for getting the show canceled. It might have gone on another season or two if he hadn’t made such a stink,” they added.
The tipster noted that Taylor “may let Kevin come back. He’ll do what’s best for Yellowstone.”
This comes after Kevin admitted in a recent interview that he’s open to returning to the show.
“So how it works out — I hope it does — but they’ve got a lot of different shows going on. Maybe it will. Maybe this will circle back to me. If it does and I feel really comfortable with [it], I’d love to do it,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
“[Dutton] needs to be proactive in what happens and I’ve kind of had my own fantasy of [what Dutton’s fate] might be,” Kevin continued of his character in Yellowstone. “But that’s Taylor’s thing. I said as much to him a while back. I had thoughts how it could happen, but we just have to see.”
