Is Abbie Chatfield’s Mum Laura Junner Following In Her Daughter’s Bachelor Footsteps?

In a juicy plot twist reality TV producers couldn’t come up with, Abbie Chatfield‘s mother, Laura Junner, is rumoured to make her reality TV debut on Australia’s The Golden Bachelor. I bloody love this for her (and us).

ICYMI, the Australian Bachelor universe was saved from the clutches of the reality TV graveyard after Channel Nine announced that it would be adding its spin-off series, The Golden Bachelor, to its 2025 roster.

In exciting news, it appears that the show is pure legitness, with sneaky paparazzi managing to snap pics of Australia’s first-ever Golden Bachie, who was revealed to be Sydney zaddy, Barry ‘Bear’ Mydren.

However, in even more sensational news, it has been rumoured that Abbie Chatfield‘s mother will be one of the ladies who will be vying for the keen sailor’s heart.

In fresh paparazzi pics (which you can peep right here), Laura was snapped with a full face of glam and her hair all done up. It’s giving date vibes!!!

The rumour comes after Abbie previously campaigned for her mother to become the first golden Bachelorette, which is something I would love to see if things don’t out with this incoming silver fox.

While it’s not confirmed if Laura will be fighting for a rose on The Golden Bachelor, the rumour is pretty bloody legendary.

You see, for folks who don’t know the reality TV lore, Abbie became an entertainment powerhouse following her appearance on The Bachelor in 2019, where she attempted to woo Matt Agnew.

Despite being unlucky in her quest for love, Abbie has continued to captivate audiences through her various reality TV appearances and side gigs including radio and podcasting.

She eventually ended up on the judging panel of The Masked Singer AU and became the host of Binge’s saucy reality TV FBoy Island Australia.

Alongside all this, Abbie has leveraged her platform to spotlight feminism, mental health and sex positivity.

With all of that stemming from her Bachelor journey, it’s quite sweet to see Laura chucking her heart into the ring in the hopes of love!

PEDESTRIAN.TV has reached out to Abbie for any statement, to which the Aussie entertainment star simply replied, “No comment ehhehehehe”.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see!

The Golden Bachelor comes out in 2025 on Channel Nine.
