A social media post from a casting producer for the ABC reality series said she is looking for places to find single senior men in Philly.
PHILADELPHIA — ABC’s hit series “The Golden Bachelor” is coming back for a second season, and casting producers are looking for single, senior men in Philadelphia.
“The Golden Bachelor” was a rating boon for ABC when it first aired in 2023.
The spinoff from the mega-popular “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” franchises even tapped into the local area, casting Aston’s Susan Noles as one of the contestants. Charles Ling, of Philadelphia, was later cast as a contestant on “The Golden Bachelorette.”
Both Noles and Ling were ultimately eliminated from their respective seasons of the shows.
But now, with ABC planning another season of “The Golden Bachelor,” they’re looking to Philadelphia again.
A post from “The Golden Bachelor” casting producer Malissa Chappius Busconi on Facebook shows she is looking for the next star of the franchise in the Philly area.
“I’m a Casting Producer and am currently looking for single Senior men for the Golden Bachelor,” Busconi wrote on the Facebook page PHILAQUEENS. “Does anyone have any recommendations of places I can scout for older men in Philly. Bars restaurants etc. and which days or nights would be good. Or if anywhere will let me post anything. I appreciate the help. Thanks”
While she may be looking for scouting locations for the next star, anyone can nominate a single senior man to be cast on the show online here.
Should a Philadelphia man be tapped as the next Golden Bachelor, he would join Collegeville’s Joey Graziadei as another Philly-area bachelor, with Graziadei starring as the titular bachelor in season 28 of the series.
