Emma Jacobs didn’t return in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13. Who did?
We knew someone from Violet’s past would come up in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13. It turned out not to be the paramedic many fans expected.
The synopsis told us that Violet would have someone from her past show up. This would be a problematic medic who needed her help, and Violet would need to decide whether she was willing to help or not.
Many people expected it to be Emma Jacobs, but I’ll admit that I thought that was too obvious. It was a different problem character.
Who did Violet need to help in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 13?
The problem arose when Flynn shared that he had a difficult case. He had a medic who was being charged with medical negligence. Due to the medic’s actions, a patient died. This is something that a lot of paramedics will fear will happen, and if negligence is proven, it can lead to loss of career and freedom.
Flynn didn’t share the name of his client. It wasn’t until the client met at the firehouse that Flynn realized he had also been played.
In walked Jared Lennox, who looked far worse for wear than he had done the last time we saw him. Fans were quickly reminded that Lennox had been fired after the incident with Chief Robinson when Violet was able to keep her job and Firehouse 51 was protected. He went to work for a private company, and he ended up doing something similar to the reason he was fired from the CFD in the first place.
Did Violet help save Lennox’s career in Chicago Fire?
Flynn wasn’t happy that Lennox didn’t mention his connection to Firehouse 51 in the first place. Lennox knew that Violet wouldn’t help if she heard the name. She had to hear that he had changed.
The initial incident with the CFD taught Lennox some valuable lessons. He took what he had learned from Violet and put them into practice in his new role. He knew he didn’t prescribe the medication at the wrong time, but he had to find a way to prove it.
Violet didn’t initially want to help him, but she also wanted to give him a chance. People can change, and by the end of the episode, we do find out that Lennox did change. He did do everything right. In fact, the oxygen monitors didn’t go off before the cardiac arrest monitors. That meant that it wasn’t the medication, and Flynn and Lennox had a way to prove Lennox’s innocence. The DA dropped the charges and Lennox got to continue his work.
This is likely closure to this story. There’s no need to see Lennox again, is there?
