High-Stakes Showdown! Alfaro Risks It All in a Deadly Undercover Mission—WATCH Intense New S.W.A.T. Clip!

Tonight’s episode of S.W.A.T. season 8 presents a dangerous opportunity for Niko Pepaj’s Miguel ‘Miko’ Alfaro. In the episode, Alfaro encounters people he knows from a previous undercover case, setting him up to potentially score a big win for his team. Pepaj has been a core member of the S.W.A.T. cast since his character Alfaro was introduced back in S.W.A.T. season 6.

ScreenRant is happy to present a clip from tonight’s episode of S.W.A.T. season 8, which is titled “Deep Cover”. In it, Alfaro does his best to convince Hondo (Pepaj’s fellow S.W.A.T. cast member Shemar Moore) to let him go undercover on a potentially life-threatening mission. Take a look at the clip, above, and check out the episode on TV tonight–”Deep Cover” airs at 10pm on CBS.

S.W.A.T. Is The Show That Keeps On Giving

S.W.A.T. season 8 is a season that very nearly never happened. CBS canceled S.W.A.T. after season 7, supposedly due to high production costs despite the show’s ratings performance. Thankfully for audiences, an eventual deal between Sony and CBS allowed the series to come back for at least one more season. The show’s latest renewal is proof that S.W.A.T. is not only a show with a devoted fan base, but one with near limitless story potential and the ability to give audiences episode after episode of high-stakes action and drama.

Interestingly, this wasn’t the first time CBS had canceled S.W.A.T. In May 2023, S.W.A.T. was canceled by the network and set to end after season 6. In part due to fan outcry, the series was eventually picked up for a season 7, which ran for 13 episodes. The trend of CBS seemingly cancelling the show after every season in recent years is worrying, but the series’ continuation proves that it has plenty of gas in the tank.

As long as the show is able to continue, S.W.A.T. will be able to provide new story angles for audiences to enjoy, in part because of its ever-changing cast. S.W.A.T. season 8 added new main cast members, one of whom was Niko Pepaj. Right away, Pepaj has taken center stage in the series, as the clip above proves. If S.W.A.T. is renewed for season 9, an increased focus on new cast members like Pepaj alongside series anchors like Shemar Moore’s Hondo will ensure the show remains fresh.
