Bridgerton season 4’s first images have been released, with Benedict falling for a mysterious lady in silver at the family’s Masquerade Ball. Bridgerton season 4 has been confirmed to focus on Benedict (Luke Thompson) and his forthcoming relationship, originally depicted in Julia Quinn’s book An Offer from a Gentleman. The story will see the young man encounter a mysterious woman (Yerin Ha) during a family event, a romantic encounter that leaves him searching for her true identity. Other silbings’ stories are also expected to continue throughout the new season.
Now, Netflix has released new images from Bridgerton season 4 on Tudum, revealing Benedict’s encounter with a mysterious lady in silver at the titular family’s big Masquerade Ball. These images include him dancing with his new love interest, Sophie Baek, alongside the reveal Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) will be featured. Benedict’s Love Story Begins
With a new season comes an expanded cast for Bridgerton, with Ha’s Sophie being just one of multiple newcomers for the show. This includes Lady Araminta Gun (Katie Leung) and her two daughters, Rosamund (Michelle Mao) and Posy (Isabella Wei), whose stories will cross paths with the season’s main character. Alice Mondrich (Emma Naomi) and Queen’s man Brimsley (Hugh Sachs) have also been promoted to series regulars, alongside Francesca’s (Hannah Dodd) love interest, Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza).
The show is also promising to continue focusing on siblings like Colin, with him and Penelope clearly still having important roles to play in the upcoming episodes. Since Bridgerton season 3 ended with her approaching her writing as Lady Whistledown in a different way, rumor can still be an important, yet different, part of Benedict’s story. As for the romance itself, little is known about how it will compare to that of previous siblings, other than having a Cinderella style as the lead attempts to search for Sophie’s true identity.
