8 Memes That Perfectly Sum Up The Twilight Saga

8 Memes That Perfectly Sum Up The Twilight Saga

The saga provides fans with memorable baseball matches, intense stares, epic piggyback riding, and other things that can be summed up with memes.

It’s been almost fourteen years since Twilight was first released in theaters and became a worldwide phenomenon. Since then, the unforgettable adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s best sellers gained faithful fans that cannot stop rewatching the iconic vampire romance between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.

Bella Plays Dumb A Lot
There were many times Bella made fans cringe with her lack of judgment and apparent blindness to Edward’s red flags. Her behavior and bad decisions made many viewers point her out as not the smartest person on Forks or the planet.

That is why it is not difficult to imagine her being guided in a conversation by one of her Edward hallucinations to just completely mess it up with her clumsiness, which is exactly what happened when she was talking with Laurent and was asked by Cullen to lie better .

Vampires Shine In The Sunlight
Against any other vampire folklore that indicates vampires burn and die under the sun, Stephanie Meyer decides the vampires in Twilight would change shine when touched by sunlight which enraged fans of traditional blood-sucking creatures (so it is easy to imagine Lestat de Lioncourt and Louis du Ponte discusses how sparkling is not acceptable – although they will be able to in the new Interview With The Vampire series).

Edward Can’t Keep Away From Bella
Edward warned Bella that he was a dangerous terrorist and got angry by the fact that she wouldn’t listen to his warnings. However, Cullen wasn’t particularly able of himself away from Bella either. As much as everybody told him to stay away, including himself, he kept spending time together with Bella. He became obsessed with her just as much as she became obsessed with him (which led to some creepy behaviors like breaking into her room). This among other things gave fans reasons why Bella and Alice should have been together instead.

Renesmee Is Terrifying
When Breaking Dawn was filmed the producers had originally planned to use an animatronic to depict Renesmee’s adult features in a one-day-old baby. The animatronic was so horrifying that it was called Chuckesme, in tribute to the most terrifying child-like robot of all time, Chucky.

As a solution, they used an even more awkward and creepy-looking CGI baby to cover up Chuckesme facial features. Both options were terrible, but at the same time, they were so bad that they are an iconic piece of the movie that fans love to hate and laugh about.

Charlie Is The Only One With Common Sense
Most would agree that Charlie is the real victim of the Twilight saga. He just wanted her daughter to be safe, and to have a happy successful life. However, his daughter kept disappearing, jumping off of rocks, and doing other things fans can’t get over. While everyone was happy at Bella and Edward’s wedding, Charlie isn’t particularly happy that his daughter was getting married at just 19. On top of that, Charlie never gets an explanation of what is going on and is asked to be unreasonably understanding of Bella’s questionable decisions.

It Gets Progressively Awkward
The saga already starts with a very unconventional romance, however, it somehow manages to get weirder and weirder as the story progresses, and while most fans will have been content with the movies and books finishing in Eclipse, a fourth title was awaiting to creep everybody out with a CGI baby and imprinting (so it’s no wonder that leaks of the new storylines had avid fans running for the hills).

Killer Soundtrack
Fans or haters, nobody can deny the Twilight saga has an amazing soundtrack. The movies include great songs from Muse, Linking Park, Paramore, and Iron and Wine. Thanks to the vampire love story, most couples nowadays use Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” as their wedding song.

The Twilight soundtrack is a pleasure to hear for anyone who was born in the early 2000s. But the truth is the musical hits chosen for the movie are so good that probably any fan rejoices over them when played.

It’s A Pop Culture Masterpiece
The Twilight movies may not get passed a 5.5 score on IMDb and may not be well praised by movie critics, or its own cast, but nobody can deny the film’s huge impact on pop culture and how it became iconic in many aspects.

There are franchises that go up and down in quality and they are disappointing. The Twilight saga maintains its quality all the way and excelled by winning the audiences for being considered good movies, or for being considered so bad that they are good.
