7 ‘Bridgerton’ Halloween Costumes to Get Ready for the Regency

This season may be called “spooky season,” but that doesn’t mean your Halloween costume has to be! If you’re more into glitz and glamour than blood and guts, why not take inspiration from Regency-era London with an elegant Bridgerton Halloween costume? Since its debut in 2020, the hit Netflix series has given fans plenty of extravagant costumes and exciting set pieces to emulate this Halloween! With season 3 premiering earlier this year, there’s no better time to earn your “Diamond of the Season” title.

From Daphne and Simon in season 1 to Penelope and Colin in season 3, there are plenty of star-crossed lovers to inspire your own. Show off Penelope’s new signature color with a seafoam green dress and a feather in hand. Or, transform into another powerful female icon from the show, like Queen Charlotte or Eloise, who you can dress up as with a swan wig or clip-on bangs. Whether you fancy yourself as Pen or Lady Whistledown, read on to discover how to bring the romance, sexiness, and undeniable style of the TV show to life with the best Bridgerton Halloween costumes!

The latest season may focus on a different Bridgerton, but dressing up as Daphne is as timeless as ever! To emulate the style of the Bridgerton who started it all, opt for her iconic blue lace dress with some long white gloves. Pair with a feather fan like the one she dropped to catch the Duke’s eye and a delicate diamond necklace for the full Daphne effect!

The second season of Bridgerton focuses on Kate Sharma, who finds herself in a forbidden love story. Throughout the season, Kate wears a jewel-toned palette of turquoise, purple, and pink. To steal her stunning style, opt for a long, satin turquoise dress with matching satin gloves. While her wardrobe is mostly European-style, in some scenes Kate and her family can be seen carrying drawstring bags that look like potli bags, a traditional Indian handbag. To complete the outfit, throw on a dainty turquoise necklace for a monochromatic look.

Every Kate needs her Anthony (or at least someone who dresses like him). Luckily, it’s easy to replicate his dapper style with just a few key pieces. As the eldest Bridgerton child, Anthony almost always looks polished in black pants, a flowy white shirt, and perfectly coiffed hair. The piece that will tie the whole look together is a long, Victorian blue coat like the one he’s wearing in the photo above.

To transform into the Bridgerton family’s resident bookworm, start with a blue shift dress with a faux ruffled collar. Whether it’s a ruffled collar or a big bow, Eloise often wears some sort of high-neck dress. Pair it with a darker blue cape and some bangs to perfectly mimic Eloise. For the finishing touch, make sure to grab a book in true Eloise style!

For the first two seasons of Bridgerton, Penelope mostly wore bright yellows and pinks. That all changed when she took matters into her own hands in Season 3, declaring that she “didn’t want to see the color orange anymore!” The new and improved Pen wears gorgeous Regency-style blue and green frocks with beaded details. Pair your high-waisted dress with tulle gloves, a sparkly crystal necklace and earrings, and of course, a feather pen! After all, you’ll need something to capture all the Halloween buzz.
