Ghosts
Where to watch: Paramount+
Ghosts returns with its fifth season on CBS this fall, which means you have a lot you need to catch up on if you haven’t started this comedy sitcom yet. It stars Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar as Sam and Jay Arondekar, a married couple who inherit a sprawling old country estate, Woodstone Manor, only to discover it’s haunted by a colorful group of spirits from different eras.
Also in the cast are Brandon Scott Jones, Danielle Pinnock, Richie Moriarty, Asher Grodman, Sheila Carrasco, Devan Chandler Long, Rebecca Wisocky, and others.
FBI
Where to watch: Paramount+
While we won’t be seeing the return of recently canceled FBI spinoffs FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International this fall, we will be seeing the original series make its comeback. FBI season 8 will start airing on CBS soon, and fans have much to look forward to in the hit police procedural series.
FBI revolves around the professional and personal lives of the dedicated agents of the New York field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Viewers watch as these agents investigate and solve high-profile cases all across the city. Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, John Boyd, Katherine Renee Kane, Lisette Olivera, and many others make up the cast.
Matlock
Where to watch: Paramount+
CBS ordering a legal drama series starring Kathy Bates was one of the best decisions the network could have made. Bates hadn’t been in a new TV show since her roles as Miriam Mead and Delphine LaLaurie in American Horror Story: Apocalypse.
She plays a much different character in Matlock, stepping into the shoes of Madeline “Matty” Matlock, a brilliant and determined attorney who comes out of retirement to rejoin the legal world for personal reasons. Throughout the first season, we watch as she skillfully tackles challenging cases to seek justice for her clients. The cast is also made up of Skye P. Marshall, Jason Ritter, David Del Rio, Leah Lewis, and many other talented actors. Matlock is set to return with its second instalment this fall.
The Neighborhood
Where to watch: Paramount+
This fall, fans will be saying goodbye to one of CBS’s best comedy sitcoms. The network announced back in March that The Neighborhood‘s upcoming eighth season would be its last, and we’ve been dreading the day it actually premieres. While we’re looking forward to seeing how the storylines wrap up and what new challenges Calvin, Dave, and their families will face, it’s bittersweet knowing this beloved show will be coming to an end.
The Neighborhood stars Cedric the Entertainer as Calvin Butler and Max Greenfield as Dave Johnson, two neighbors from very different cultural backgrounds who find themselves navigating the challenges and joys of living in the same suburban community. They’re joined in the cast by Tichina Arnold, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, Hank Greenspan, Beth Behrs, and Skye Townsend.
Survivor
Where to watch: Paramount+
One of the longest-running reality television series is scheduled to come back with a brand new season on CBS in the fall. Survivor season 49 will take place in Mamanuca Islands, Fiji, with Jeff Probst returning as host.
Throughout the season, viewers will watch as a diverse group of contestants face grueling physical and mental challenges, all while competing for the coveted title of Sole Survivor and a million-dollar prize. The only confirmed cast member so far for the forty-ninth season is former Marvel Studios executive Nate Moore.
