Ratings: #TheFBIs Return Bigger After 9-Month Break, FBI Audience Hits 23-Month High

In the latest TV ratings, CBS’ FBI was Tuesday’s most-watched program; it also tied ABC’s The Bachelor for the nightly demo win.

CBS | With their respective season openers, FBI (7.6 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating), FBI: International (5.8 mil/0.4, TVLine reader grade “B+”; read Heida Reed’s statement) and FBI: Most Wanted (5.2 mil/0.4) all returned to larger audiences than their previous averages, and were steady in the demo. In fact, FBI proper drew its largest audience in almost two years (since March 2022).

NBC | Facing stiffer competition, Night Court (2.9 mil/0.3), Extended Family (2.2 mil/0.2), the La Brea series finale (2 mil/0.2, TVLine reader grade “C”; read post mortem Q&A) and Quantum Leap (another series low 1.3 mil/0.2, read recap) each lost some eyeballs, yet all held steady in the demo.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Steve Harvey is not a judge or lawyer and merely offers an alternative forum of dispute resolution.
