If one thing stays consistent with Dick Wolf procedurals, it’s that they’re always subject to change. With three “FBI” series, three “Law & Order” shows and three series in the “One Chicago” universe, each season sees a great deal of change in casts.
This year, that number seems higher than ever. Scroll through the list below to see who won’t be returning for the upcoming seasons.
Chicago Fire
Firehouse 51 will look very different when Season 13 debuts. Eamonn Walker, Kara Killmer, Alberto Rosende and Rome Flynn all exited during last season. Meanwhile, Dermot Mulroney has joined as the new chief, along with KaDee Strickland as his estranged wife. Recurring actors Jake Lockett and Jocelyn Hudon have been bumped up to series regulars.
Chicago Med
Dominic Rains, who has played Dr. Crockett Marcel for the last five seasons, won’t be back for Season 10, although it hasn’t yet been confirmed how he will be written off the show. Additionally, after nine seasons, showrunners Diane Frolov and Andy Schneider have stepped away. They will be replaced by Allen MacDonald.
New cast members this season include Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet as regulars.
Chicago P.D.
After saying goobye to Tracy Spiridakos’ Hailey Upton on the Season 11 finale, Season 12 will feature Toya Turner as Patrol Officer Kiana Cook. Additionally, it’s still up in the air whether Bojana Novakovic, who was introduced during Season 11 as Det. Jo Petrovic, will return.
Law & Order: Organized Crime
Not technically a cast change, the NBC spinoff will move to Peacock for its fifth season.
Law & Order
The Season 23 finale served as the finale episode for Camryn Manheim, who has been part of the flagship as Lieutenant Kate Dixon since the series was revived in 2021. Earlier in the season, Sam Waterston exited after more than 400 episodes.
Maura Tierney will join Season 24 as a new series regular, playing a lieutenant.
FBI
Behind the scenes, Rick Eid has stepped away as showrunner and will be replaced by Mike Weiss. Katherine Renee Kane, who portrayed Special Agent Tiffany Wallace since Season 3, will exit during Season 7 and Listette Olivera has joined as a new Behavior Analysis Unit agent.
FBI: International
After three seasons, Luke Kleintank, who played Supervisory Special Agent Scott Forrester, exited the show. “Chicago P.D.” alum Jesse Lee Soffer will fill his shoes as Supervisory Special Agent Wesley “Wes” Mitchell.
