Although the episode order hasn’t been officially confirmed, the first episode on Virgin River season 6’s roster is titled “Brothers & Sisters.” The leading theory is that Everett has another sibling — or siblings — to tell Mel about. It’s even possible Mel has a twin brother or sister.

When asked directly about Mel having more half siblings than Joey, Smith answered evasively, saying “Perhaps.” However, Smith goes on to explain that the show’s sixth outing is more about Everett’s backstory, his connection to Virgin River, and the idea that small-town communities are opinionated places. Still, given that Virgin River’s prequel will be about Everett and Mel’s mom, the new season of the original show could set up some exciting reveals and threads.
